2Justification

The problem or need

The chamber’s branches and service points in the region’s governorates work from old buildings where energy costs SAR 11 per square metre a month and summer power cuts stop member service.

Today

1,600 MWh a year, diesel back-up generators running 60 days every summer, and 870 tonnes of emissions a year.

3Objectives

  1. Model branches in the governorates with an energy-efficient design, rooftop solar and storage that covers their whole demand.

Strategic objectives served

  • SO-3.1 — Produce more influential knowledge and information

4Expected benefits
